General Public’s
Library Access
Members of the general public may search both the National Sexual
Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) and PCAR library databases.
They may search both libraries simultaneously or limit their
searches to just one collection at a time. They may search by
keyword, author, title or subject and may limit searches location;
media types such as videos, books or posters; or to materials
in specific languages. Links to online articles will appear in
the library record for those available via the Internet. After
finding materials, users may email or print their results.

PCAR Contractors’ Library
Access
PCAR contractor staff and a limited number of allied Pennsylvania
professionals may become registered patrons of the NSVRC and
PCAR libraries. Once registered, in addition to searching the
collections, they may save, print and/or email their search histories;
put PCAR materials on hold; and borrow resources. (NSVRC materials
may be searched but not borrowed. Those patrons wishing to review
NSVRC materials may do so in-house by appointment.) After a patron
has placed an item(s) on hold, PCAR’s Education and Resource
Coordinator will mail the item(s) out.
