PCAR and NSVRC searchable library

National Sexual Violence Resource Center Library includes the collections of the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape (PCAR) and the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC). The PCAR Collection of the NSVRC Library gives contractors, staff, and allied professionals in Pennsylvania access to a comprehensive selection of relevant and timely resources on sexual violence and prevention. Searchable through an online catalog, the unique collection includes items in print, audiovisual, and electronic formats, as well as in various languages.

If you are a member of the general public interested in research and resources on sexual violence and prevention, you may search the NSVRC and PCAR library collections. Although the NSVRC collection is non-circulating, select resources are available upon request. If you have questions about this policy, or require assistance with searches, please contact NSVRC at resources@nsvrc.org.

PCAR Contractor Library Access

PCAR contractor staff and a limited number of allied Pennsylvania professionals may become registered patrons of the NSVRC library with full privileges to borrow from the PCAR collection.

To become a registered patron of the NSVRC library, contact the PCAR Education and Resource Coordinator at 717.728.9740/800.692.7445, extension 115.

Lending Policies

Registered patrons may borrow books, articles, and audio/visual materials. Books may be borrowed for four weeks and videos may be borrowed for two weeks. To renew items, patrons must contact the PCAR Education and Resource Coordinator. Patrons are responsible for replacement costs for lost or damaged items..
