Is there a hotel parking garage and what is the cost?
Yes, there is a garage adjacent to the hotel. The cost to park your vehicle
is $25 per day, or $30 for valet per day.
What is the closest airport?
The closest international airport is the Baltimore/Washington International
Airport (BWI). For more information, go to www.bwiairport.com.
Is there a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel and vice versa?
The airport super shuttle comes to the hotel every half an hour. The cost is
$13 per person one way. Depending on traffic, it typically takes 25 minutes
to travel back and forth between the airport and Renaissance Hotel.
Is the hotel within walking distance of restaurants and shops?
Yes! Inner Harbor and the Renaissance Hotel face each other across Pratt Street.
They are also connected by a Skywalk, so you don't have to worry about traffic.
Some of the attractions include the Science Center, Aquarium, ESPN Zone,
the Convention Center, Orioles Park at Camden Yard. Please refer back to

The upscale Gallery shopping mall is connected to the hotel and features 4
floors. The fourth floor features a food court.

REGISTRATION
What if I need to cancel my registration to the conference?
Requests for registration cancellations (with refund) will be honored if received
by 5:00 p.m. August 26, 2007. In order to receive a refund, the registrant
must submit a written request to: PCAR, 125 North Enola Drive, Enola PA 17025.
Attention Fiscal Department. Please allow at least 10 business days to receive
the refund.
If it is necessary to cancel your registration after the deadline, you are
able to transfer your registration to another party. We have provided a forum
on the message board for you to advertise for a buyer. Once this person has
been identified, please contact us at 1-800-692-7445 and we will update the
registration information.
What if I have a group of people I need to register but I don’t
know their names yet.
If absolutely necessary, groups can register under one name. Once the registrants
are identified, it is very important to have each of them officially register
and choose workshops. If this does not happen, the registration process at
the conference will take significantly more time.
I have not received confirmation of my registration yet. What should I do?
Confirmations will be sent within 5-10 business days upon receipt of completed
registration and payment. We will email or mail the confirmation letter depending
on whether or not the registrant has email. You will need to check that your
anti-spam program is set to allow this post to get through to you.
If you have not received a conformation within this time frame, please call
PCAR at 800-692-7445, ext. 145 or 146.
PRESENTERS
If I am a presenter, what must I do to register?
We ask that ALL presenters officially register for the conference even if you
do not plan on attending any workshops. One presenter per workshop will be
offered a free registration and lodging for one night. There will be a place
on the registration form to mark your free registration status.
If I am a presenter, do I make my own overnight reservations?
All presenters should make their own overnight hotel reservations. Free lodging
is offered to one presenter per workshop. If you are the presenter receiving
the free lodging, we ask that you reserve and pay for your own room and PCAR
will reimburse you at a later date.
How and when will I find out if my proposal has been accepted?
Acceptance letters will be mailed out the last week of February. If you have
not received a letter of acceptance or denial, please call1-800-692-7445,
ext. 129.
My audio-visual needs have changed. Who do I need to contact?
If your AV needs have changed, please contact the Tech Team at 1-800-692-7445,
ext. 143 or email Amy at ashestack@pcar.org.
Please note that laptops and LCD projectors will NOT be provided.
OTHER
Will group discounts be offered?
Discounts for groups of 10 or more will be
offered. Please call PCAR at 800-692-7445 for more details.
Will scholarships be offered?
All scholarships have been awarded and we are no longer accepting applications.
If you have already applied for a scholarship you will be receivng notification
of your award by August 10, 2007.
Will CEU’s be offered?
This program is approved by the National Association of Social Workers (provider
# 886480933) for 14.25 continuing education contact hours.
Cost of NASW credits is $10.00. Checks should be made payable to NASW.
Do you help attendees find roommates or travel partners?
The conference organizers have provided forums on our message
board where attendees
can seek roommates and travel partners, but takes no official role in matching
people up.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is business casual. You may want to bring a light jacket or
sweater since the temperature in each meeting room vary.
