Job requirements: 
  • Three-to-five years successful fundraising experience in a comparable non-profit setting;  development experience highly desirable and preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree preferred. Successful major individual giving/planned giving fundraising experience may be considered in lieu of BS or MS degree.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Self-confident, adaptable and able to work collaboratively with and garner the respect of the Board of Directors, staff, a variety of committee leaders, volunteers and donors.
  • Proof of prior completion/certification or future participation of Pennsylvania required 60 Hour Crisis Intervention Training.
  • Knowledge of fundraising software and database functions required.
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications including Word, Access, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc. web page design proficiency helpful.
  • Ongoing professional development and professional organization membership.
  • Valid state issued driver’s license.
  • Pennsylvania criminal record clearance required prior to employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive use of keyboard and viewing computer monitor
  • Prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to travel to various locations for meetings, events, etc.
  • Ability to twist, bend, reach, carry, lift
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 15 pounds.
Job description: 

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator who will be the primary person responsible for day to day management of all fundraising activities and for hands-on implementation of the  fundraising plans and initiatives of Safe Haven, Inc. of Pike County. The Fundraising Coordinator will oversee all fundraising administrative considerations and ensure the accuracy, as well as timeliness, of all events as well as donor and volunteer communications. Demonstrated experience managing all aspects of nonprofit fundraising events raising amounts greater than 75K-100K per annum. The annual fundraising goals are established in the organization’s Strategic and Fundraising Plans. Reporting to and in partnership with the Board of Directors, the Fundraising Coordinator will spearhead any and all fundraising development efforts.
GENERAL OVERVIEW/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the auspices of the Board of Directors create and implement an annual fundraising events plan with dollar goals, objectives, and strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual gifts, corporate gifts, annual and corporate appeals and sponsorships.

Work directly and collaboratively with the Safe Haven Board of Directors and the Ways and Means Committee for all fundraising events, activities and campaigns.

Work with Safe Haven Volunteers via the Ways and Means Committee, the Board Volunteer Liaison and the Volunteer Coordinator for all fundraising events, activities and campaigns.

Develop, manage, and execute Safe Haven’s signature event, “Paint Pike Purple” Campaign including the fundraising Gala, month long event planning and the identification, and cultivation and solicitation of sponsorships of corporate and individual donors.

Responsible for the development of communications, marketing, media and community affairs programs to raise public visibility for the organization’s fundraising events as they relate to both participant and donor audiences.

Coordinate and implement all events such as but not limited to; Spring Geranium Sale, Annual Golf Tournament(s), “Behind Closed Doors” House Tour, “Paint Pike Purple” Annual Campaign and Gala, Annual and Corporate Appeal programs, as well as any and all fundraising event initiatives.

Develop and implement donor recognition policies. Maintain a donor data base.

Ongoing professional development and professional organization membership.

Establish all administrative systems and procedures to track, record, report, acknowledge, and recognize all contributions and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all fundraising, prospect, donor and fundraising volunteer communications.

POSITION:
Salaried exempt full time position 40 hour work week minimum with vacation/sick/holiday leave. Some weekend/evening work required.
