An advocate from your local rape crisis center can tell you how you may get reimbursed for other costs from the sexual assault through Pennsylvania’s Victims Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP). VCAP is a program of the Office of Victims’ Services of the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.
Costs that may be covered through VCAP include:
- medical expenses
- replacement of healthcare items lost or damaged during the crime (such as eye glasses)
- lost wages from missing work
