In 2010 the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape will celebrate our 35th Anniversary. As part of our celebration we will be hosting events, trainings and posting exciting information on our websites. Please look through our history book “Take Back the Night” and see how PCAR and our partners in the anti-sexual violence movement have made advances in ending sexual violence in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

In 2000 PCAR partnered with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to create the National Sexual Violence Resource Center. The NSVRC serves as the nation’s principle information and resource center regarding all aspects of sexual violence. It provides national leadership, consultation and technical assistance by generating and facilitating the development and flow of information on sexual violence intervention and prevention strategies. The NSVRC works to address the causes and impact of sexual violence through collaboration, prevention efforts and the distribution of resources.
